The American Athletic Institute honors Police Chief John LaCross of Barrington, RI for his endless dedication to the battle against underage drinking. In a town decimated by youth deaths over a two year period and parents and adults that clearly land in the middle of the dynamics for causation, Chief LaCross is in a league by himself.  Employing the best known practices from law enforcement and prevention, John LaCross refuses to accept any notion or norm that rationalizes youth access or use of alcohol.  John LaCross is simply one of the finest and most honorable men we have met in nearly one decade in the trenches.  AAI Director John Underwood said “If I had to pick one person to fight this battle with, it would be John LaCross.”  We wish John and Barrington, RI the best of luck in their futures.
