J.T. Curtis

Coach Curtis is one of the most respected High School football coaches in the country for both; his on the field accomplishments and off the field conduct and character.  Coach Curtis serves on the Board of Directors at John Curtis Christian School, is the Dean of Students and has also found time to compile 443 victories as a high school football coach.  It is this combination of leadership, scholastic commitment and athletic achievement that makes Coach Curtis a perfect fit with the American Athletic Institute. 

It is not Coach’s 21 State Championships or his .894 winning percentage but his strength of character and unobstructed vision of what is truly important to today’s youth that makes him a valuable asset to the American Athletic Institute.  Following a victory over the #1 ranked team in the nation Coach Curtis said, “I have a lot of concerns about keeping high school sports in perspective. I want to make sure that whatever we do, it will be in the best interest of our players, of our fans and of all the students who come to John Curtis.” 1.  

Beliefs like this are what prompted the American Athletic Institute to ask Coach Curtis to assist in our attempts to help today’s young athletes.  We thank Coach for lending his invaluable experience, intelligence and wisdom to the American Athletic Institute and we wish him continued success both on and off the field.
